Because the body's various systems depend on one another to function properly, the neuro-musculo-skeletal system plays a primary role in your health. Chiropractors use their hands to administer specific manual adjustments to joints that are fixated or not moving well. These adjustments are safe, painless, and positively affect the nervous system, muscles and immune system. Chiropractic is the third-largest primary healthcare profession in Canada, covered by most Extended Health Plans and in some cases a portion is covered by MSP. We also accept RCMP, DVA, ICBC and WorkSafe claims and are able to direct bill them in most cases for Chiropractic treatment.

The process to collect PRP first involves taking a blood sample from the patient. That blood is then put into a centrifuge; a machine that spins the blood to separate it into its various components. Once out of the centrifuge, the practitioner is then able to collect the platelet-rich plasma to prepare it for injection into the injured area of the patient, which could be soft tissue, a ligament or bone. Seven years ago, beginning his career as a Registered Massage Therapist, a mentor told Thomas,

“Thomas, you’re not the right massage therapist for everybody.”

These words have stuck with Thomas since that day, and have helped to shape Thomas into the Massage Therapist he is today. Thomas’ goal is to encourage and facilitate healing, physical development and musculoskeletal improvement. Some of the techniques Thomas uses can be uncomfortable, but pain is never the goal. Thomas’ hope is always that you’ll leave an appointment feeling better than when you came in. As a big advocate of 10-15 minutes of self-care every day, he believes that to be more valuable than what he can offer in a 60 minute treatment.

With that being said, he will work together with his patients to find a path to recovery, health and fitness that works for each individual in conjunction with his treatment.

As a Naturopathic physician dedicated to the principles of naturopathic medicine, Dr. Dhillon strongly believes that medicine as a whole should concern itself with more than just a patient’s illness. He prefers a holistic approach that investigates why a patient’s health is deteriorating by looking for, identifying and treating the underlying causes of the illness, and not just the presenting symptoms.

Dr. Dhillon, strives to create an individualized treatment plan that utilizes the body’s self healing power and improves patient health because every person is unique. His aim is to enable patients to actively participate in their health decisions and empower them to take control of their own health.

As a naturopathic doctor, Dr. Dhillon treats a variety of health issues and give each patient his undivided attention. His areas of interest include treating fatigue, gastrointestinal conditions, allergies, skin conditions, auto-immune conditions, detoxification and pain management. Current treatments offered are herbal medicine, vitamins and minerals, ayurvedic medicine, homeopathy, diet and lifestyle counseling, musculoskeletal medicine such as Bowen Therapy, and Prolo Therapy.

Dr. Dhillon is an avid hockey fan (he is Canadian after all!!) and for several years he trained in Martial Arts at a reputed academy in White Rock, British Columbia.

He enjoys good food (especially if it’s healthy) and loves to spend time with his family and friends. He also enjoys volunteering in the community at the surrey hospice, children’s activities, and the elderly. He experienced Rotary’s Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) program, and learned a great deal about leadership, motivation, and communication.

Dr. Dhillon agrees that conventional medicine has effective treatments for serious acute diseases, however, the majority of health care issues are actually slow, insidious and manifest in the form of chronic diseases.

He encourages patients to not blindly follow the misconception that drugs and surgery are the only choice for them. Methods of disease treatment by conventional medicine may be ineffective with high risk and unwanted side effects. Dr. Dhillon hopes patients consider the naturopathic approach and take control of thier health.

Suzanne found her passion for anatomy while taking a forensic anthropology course at Kwantlen University.

She took this new found interest and paired it with her desire to help others and enrolled in the 3000-hour program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy.

She has been practicing as a registered massage therapist since 2008 and truly loves her profession.

Suzanne believes that change starts with patient education. If we teach our clients about their injury and how to avoid further damage, we can prevent a prolonged pain cycle and achieve faster outcomes. The importance and benefits gained by knowledge empowers the client to make their own decisions and create change for themselves in aiding their healing process. This philosophy of care is what excites Suzanne about joining a multidisciplinary clinic, where she can work along side other health care professionals who will help nurture positive outcomes for her clients.

Suzanne’s treatment style incorporates Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Release, General Swedish muscular stripping techniques and therapeutic exercise to help realign muscular dysfunction and decrease tension and pain. She accommodates her depth of pressure for each individual need, and believes massage therapy should incorporate relaxation techniques to fully benefit from hands on work.

Suzanne’s approach is guided by her extensive anatomy training including a full cadaver dissection of the human body. This post grad course really helped in understanding how to access certain structures and to see how interconnected the human body really is. Suzanne also spent 2 years teaching as a clinical instructor at CDI college from 2016-2018. She truly enjoys helping students understand the importance of professionalism while guiding their manual skills to the ability of helping others. It has also helped keep her up to date education wise.

When Suzanne isn’t at work she enjoys challenging herself in experiencing new things. Some of her most favorite adventures include traveling the world as far as Australia, Europe, Costa Rica, and Tahiti while her craziest adventure involved jumping out of an airplane. Her most challenging adventure was learning how to swim in 5 weeks to compete in a Tri-it distance Triathlon where she surpassed her goal of top 5 and became 2nd female finisher. Suzanne has participated in Olympic distance Triathlons and has completed 6 half marathon running races, one of which she did while 30wks pregnant! Now a mother, her little ones keeps her quite busy and is currently only working part time.

Dr. Kusch has been practicing chiropractic since graduating as valedictorian, and with honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in 2005.

Dr. Kusch enjoyed a successful career as a professional soccer player, playing in Vancouver, Belgium, Sweden, Norway and as a player for the Canadian Men’s World Cup Team.

He attributes his lack of injury as a player to what he did off the field through exercise, diet, nutrition and regular chiropractic care.

Dr. Kusch gave back to the sport he learned so much from by working with teams of the Canadian Soccer Association. He was selected to attend the 2008 Beijing Olympics as part of the medical team for the Canadian Women’s Soccer Team and was the chiropractor for the Canadian National Men’s Soccer Team.

Additionally, Dr. Kusch was honoured to be selected as the team chiropractor for the Vancouver Whitecaps of the Major League Soccer.

Through his soccer, Dr. Kusch experienced firsthand the benefits of chiropractic and other complementary healthcare disciplines. This inspired in him a vision to be involved in creating Performance Integrated Health, a multidisciplinary wellness clinic where individualized care and a teamwork ethic are combined to provide people with the most comprehensive healthcare possible.

Dr. Kusch focuses on optimizing the structure of the human body by maintaining appropriate joint motion through chiropractic adjustments and soft tissue therapies. As a result, the body is able to maximize function translating into optimal performance in every part of one’s life.

After living with back pain for 20+ years and treating patients for about 7 years Dr. Kusch went on an investigative journey to discover a permanent solution to his condition. As a result of his findings and the successful resolution of his condition, in May 2022 Dr. Kusch authored his first book Back to Basics: A Surprisingly Simple Solution to Back Pain to share his story and provide people with a proven system to help them experience the same results he did.

Hi everyone!

My name is Aman Virk! I’ve been a part of healthcare for the last 10 years starting off as a personal trainer at Steve Nash Fitness World. While being a trainer I completed an additional yoga instructor course mainly just to acquire extra knowledge. Afterward, I decided to extend my experience in healthcare and have been working as a Physiotherapist Assistant in two long-term care facilities over the course of 5 years. In these facilities, I worked with patients needing rehabilitation exercise to get back to day to day activities or simply maintaining physical form as much as they can. As a Physiotherapist Assistant, I have worked with patients with dementia, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis and strokes just to name a few.

As a graduate of the CDI College Registered Massage Therapy Program, I like to focus my treatments on severe neck pain as well as low back and sciatic pain.
